Army and medical professional volunteered to take care of the kids’ luggage, and essential medical equipment.

While on the San Francisco runaway, the kids received wonderful water-cannon greetings.

The nonprofit has organized a fun packed scheduled covering all major destinations in the week’s time. The places include an Oakland A's game, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Alcatraz Island and of course the Raging Waters.

The Cause
The Kids of Courage initiative specially organizes long trip for kids suffering from life threatening diseases and otherwise could not handle distant travels.

The organization offers special privileges for kids enduring chronic illnesses like cancer and muscular dystrophy.

This is the third year in a row when the Kids of Courage has organized a distant trip for these kids. In 2009, the organization arranged the trip to Disney World in Orlando, while in 2010 they flew to City of the Angels.

Trip to rejuvenate chronically ill kids
Ari Adlerstein, director and co-founder of Kids of Courage, says "We wanted to make a difference in their lives… We find that travel is a very empowering thing for these kids."

Along with the kids from U.S., the trip includes kids from Canada, England and Israel. The weeklong trip will be continue till 23rd of August.

The basic idea behind the initiative is to provide rejuvenation to the little ones who are enduring life threatening health conditions. The trip definitely helps these children to divert their attention from the boredom and unending endurance of the medicines, and to provide some enjoyment.
