MTV plans to recast "Jersey Shore"

There will be change of face for "Jersey Shore" if gossips turned to be true.

Our favorite “Jersey Shore” or its star cast is in news for one or the other reason. Just a few days back, “Snooki” rammed her car into a traffic patrol car and now gossips are abounding that the present cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ will be gone after season 5 to cut down on costs. As told by an anonymous “source” Snooki, the Situation and their gang are making $100,000 per episode, and the new star cast will be a lot cheaper, besides that hefty amount they earn in appearances. Michael Sorrentino was worth $ 5 million as reported last year.

Sources close to the show claim that the cast has a history of salary negotiations. Season four shooting in Italy in the spring was delayed due to protracted haggling so that the cast could cash in. The rumors originated with Usmagzine.com.

So reports suggest that for season six, MTV will say good bye to the Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jennifer “JWOWW” Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino and Dinna Nicole Cortese and replace it with a new group equally bronzed and buff.

But even if you’re favorite juiceheads and guidettes be removed from Jersey Shore, you will not be missing them as Pauly D, JWOWW and Snooki have already signed up with MTV for spin-offs which is all set to be in air by 2012. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has also inked a development deal with MTV.

A sad student of Trash Television says “Jersey Shore” improved upon the sublime “Real World” formula simply by bringing the cast mates back year after year.

Responding to the rumors, a network spokesman said that there are no plans to switch up lucrative lineup: “We love the present cast and their summer adventure has just begun” as told to Access Hollywood.
