Bin Laden was hiding in open in Pakistan

Osama bin laden, the leader of the most notorious group, used to live like a leader in his end days.

Finally the life of the most notorious person in the world, responsible for taking thousands of lives has come to an end. It won’t take a second to guess who that person is. Yes Osama bin laden, the 54 years old, most wanted terrorist in the world was shot and killed by the U.S. forces in Abottabad, Pakistan.

It’s hard to believe and much to the surprise of everyone, Bin Laden was not hiding in caves but was living in a lush, picturesque valley, in the affluent suburb of Abottabad, a place quite famous among the tourists. He was hiding virtually in the open and in the comfort of his house whose value at present is estimated to be around $1.8 million. He was residing there for months if not for years, the experts believe.

Abottabad is around 4,000 feet above sea level and situated in the green Orash valley and has temperate climate the year round. The place he was shot is just a stone's throws from an elite military academy, just around 200 meters.

The town’s police station is merely 800 feet from there. This well-to-do, bustling suburb also boast of a cricket field and a hockey stadium as well as several other institutes of higher learning. What is most eye-brow raising is the fact that the place is just 60 miles away from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

He was maintaining a lavish life style when he died, quiet similar to the way he was brought up. Bin Laden was born to a wealthy Saudi father, used to be driven around in chauffeured Rolls Royce in 1970, he had a collection of expensive designer shirts from Christian Dior and Yves St. Laurent, which he used to wear just once and then discard them. Even as a teenager, Bin Laden was devout. He used to pray seven times a day and fast twice a week.
