Twitter users are furious over the insensitive remarks that U.S. rapper 50 Cent made on the website, about the disastrous earthquake in Japan.
Curtis Jackson writes on Twitter by the username 50 Cent. He left several tweets over the weekend about the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and called these natural disasters as means of “shock.”
When people living in the West Coast of U.S. were frightened about the already declared tsunami on Friday, 50 Cent showed his callous attitude by writing, “Wave will hit 8am them crazy white boys gonna try to go surfing.”
The next sentence of his tweet showed heights of heartlessness. He posted, “Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoes from LA, Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol.”
Apologized on Twitter a few hours later
A few hours later, he made an apology on the website and tried to give an explanation for the indifferent remarks made by him.
Defending himself, he said, “Nah this is nuts but what can anyone do about it. Let us pray for anyone who has lost someone.”
However, the next sentence showed his indifferent attitude once again, as he blogged, “Some of my tweets are ignorant I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way.”
