Coffee price hike: How can we stop this?

A cup of freshly brewed espresso for breakfast, one tall cup of mocha frappuccino while at work, and another cup of my ever favorite espresso after work and before going to sleep.

The pleasant aroma of coffee, one of the simple pleasures of my life, the fuel to my engine, the battery of my brain.

But wait a minute, what the heck! Is this serious for crying out loud?! Oh, please!

The 10-15 cent per cup coffee price hike from all over the news keeps banging in my head. Oh, what did I do to deserve this? Alright, blame it on the changing weather patterns, temperature rise, strong rains, what else? Those coffee-growers should have formulated a plan or a strategy to get control over these natural phenomenon with regards to their crops. I mean, they should have known every single detail of what may ruin and what may protect their crops. They should have done researches on how to protect those coffee farms from these weather changes. If they have to use artificial forms to have my coffee planted on, then be it, just grow my coffee!

I drink about 3 to 4 cups of espresso and 2 to 3 cups of mocha frapuccino a day, to make me feel like I am a real human being. I simply love coffee, it just simply makes my day, and I know there are a lot of people out there who are much more coffee addicts than me. And this price hike just ruined my day. It is, well, more than 85 percent of my daily coffee spend. Coffee business owners call this a "catastrophic price increase", yes it is.

Why does my coffee have to be this costly? Everything goes up: gas, groceries, gums, what else is there to go up? Should I blame the state for this or should I understand the law of supply and demand? Should I grind then brew my own coffee? Or should I change my coffee drinking habit?

Comment on these and let our voices be heard. We can do something to stop or bring this down.

Hey, what about salary increase? When will it going to happen huh?!
