London : Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has given fresh evidence to Scotland Yard against Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, and vowed to continue his campaign to have him deported from Britain.
Imran told a private television channel that he would not remain silent and that people in Pakistan would soon hear good news.
The cases against the MQM leader were extremely important, and Hussain could not escape the law, he added.
The Daily Times quoted him as saying that now it was up to Scotland Yard to take action against Hussain.
Earlier, Imran had blamed Hussain for in terrorist activities, which had culminated in the May 12 killings in Karachi, incitement to violence, money laundering and torture.
He said the money laundering charge against Hussain was taken up on a priority basis as his lawyers have provided enough evidence to conduct investigations.
Anybody could be tried in the UK courts on allegations of torture anywhere in the world and this was a serious offence in the eyes of British law, Khan said.
He went on to claim that he was receiving calls from MQM harassed victims, who wanted to give evidence against Hussain. (ANI)
