Karachi : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to shift the second phase of conditioning-cum-training camp in Lahore instead of Quetta because of recent floods in Balochistan.
Zakir Khan, PCB’s Director of Cricket Operations, said that the camp had to be relocated keeping in view the current situation in Balochistan where floods have left scores of people dead and thousands homeless.
The camp was scheduled to get underway in Quetta from July 10.
A day earlier, the PCB had announced that the camp would be held in Quetta and also named 22 probables to attend it.
This would have been the first time that a national training would have been held in Quetta where the presence of so many star cricketers could hardly be seen in the immediate future.
The camp is aimed at helping the players to improve their fitness levels and would also provide the team management to work on few other areas, especially fielding, The News reported.
The first phase of the conditioning camp took place in Abbottabad where the players trained with Army trainers. (ANI)
