Mumbai : The Bombay High Court today asked Mumbai Police Commissioner D N Jadhav to file a report within two months over the alleged links of Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal with the underworld.
The Court issued this order after hearing a petition based on a secret Intelligence Bureau report, which has pointed out that Naresh Goyal has links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s D-company.
The court has also asked the Police Commissioner whether the police need any help from the Central Bureau of Investigations or not.
Last year, former Civil Aviation Minister and Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav had questioned the reported security clearance given "overnight" by the United Progressive Alliance Government to Goyal.
The clearance to Goyal, an NRI, was pending for several years due to unfavourable reports from intelligence agencies against him. (ANI)
