Local residential developer and builder YCH Communities L.L.C. has come up with a creative advertising strategy that promotes its new Norco home community Chaparral, while adhering to the city’s strict guidelines against human directional signage. The company employs local teens on weekends to ride their horses along roads adjacent to the Norco Ridge Ranch master plan community, where Chaparral is located, while holding signs pointing to the new home community.
The campaign is an example of a successful cooperative effort between the homebuilder, the community and the city of Norco - self-proclaimed Horse Town USA - to preserve and promote the city’s rural and equestrian lifestyle.

Some teens are working for pocket money, while others are saving for sports trips and other school activities, including a trip to Washington D.C. Teen riders include Brad and Andrew Paterson, Cristilynn Rood and Stacy Chapman.

YCH Communities L.L.C., established in 1995, is an award-winning residential developer and homebuilder of quality, single-family detached homes, with communities in northern and southern California; and with plans to aggressively pursue land development opportunities in the Sacramento and greater Central Valley markets. Its mission is to build affordable quality homes and develop attractive neighborhoods that complement their environments and provide enduring impressions. The company was recently ranked 5th in BUILDER magazine’s 2004 Fast Track 100 (September 2004), which ranks the fastest growing homebuilding companies in the US.
