From tens of thousands of gift ideas, “Not My Reality,” the first young adult’s novel from author Kimberly Weiner was selected by the editors of the Fine Living network’s fineliving.com’s Ultimate Gift Guide as one of the hottest gifts this season. Available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon and independent booksellers nationwide, “Not My Reality” asks the question: what could be worse than being a pop star’s younger sister? That’s the dilemma facing twelve-year-old Sam Devine when her big sister becomes the world’s hottest singing sensation. With everyone catering to the new teen queen, Sam starts to feel invisible. To make matters worse, the whole family becomes stars of a new reality show. Can Sam find a way to live in her own reality? Find out more at www.notmyreality.com.
Katie Frankle, online editor at fineliving.com had this to say about “Not My Reality” – “A fun, entertaining read that’s perfect for the holiday vacation or spring break.” The complete listing can be seen at the hyperlink listed below (click if highlighted or paste you’re your browser).

“Not My Reality” continues to gain momentum as a great read for girls aged 8-15, an underserved audience in today’s media maze. Soon to be developed into a feature film and television series, the next chapters in Sam’s life will soon be published in books two and three. “I am just tickled pink that a fabulous network like Fine Living recommends this story to its viewers,” said Kimberly Weiner. “My goal was to write a story tween girls could identify with and find comfort in while creating an opportunity for them, and their parents, to get a ‘real’ understanding of reality television.”
Dr. Kimberly Weiner began her own career touring the world as a performer with “Up With People.” After teaching in both public and private schools, she became a “studio” teacher for many of today’s most famous child celebrities. Today Dr. Weiner is an Educational Media Consultant working with LeapFrog Toys and Honda of America, among others. She is also an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education & Psychology at Pepperdine University.
She also offers tweens, and their grown-ups, a website – AskDrKimberly.com – that offers a clear-cut view on reality television and what’s appropriate for young adults to watch and what’s not. Please visit www.askdrkimberly.com for more information.

AlpineZone, a popular Northeastern ski and snowboard website located at www.alpinezone.com, has introduced a revolutionary means of communication between its members and key players in the Northeast’s snow sports resort industry. Borne of website founder Greg Blasko’s innovation, and the suggestions of its users, the AlpineZone Ski Area Challenge is a way for Internet-savvy skiing enthusiasts to directly ask specific questions of Northeast ski area representatives. The program has been effective in dispelling rumors and myths that plague the industry amongst its patrons, while giving consumers a sense of the challenges involved with ski area marketing and operations. Northeast ski area managers previously seemed unaware of the valuable resource at their disposal in the various online skiing communities that are literally filled with passionate members anxious to ask questions and provide feedback. Consumer responses to detailed, specific questions are not easily achieved by emailing the mountain or by visiting their guest services counters.

The Croppin’ Companion is an organizational system of nesting folders. Their design was based on the premise that in order to utilize your supplies (photo’s, papers, embellishments etc.) and your time/money efficiently, you must first be organized. The pockets are placed on the top in front and the bottom in back to evenly distribute the bulk of each layout’s supplies which allows the folders to “nest” neatly into one another and lay flat on a shelf or in a standard 3 ring binder.
